1919 : Started to stamp propellers with "South Bend"
1925 : Bass-Oreno transition from No Eyes to Glass Eyes

1949 : Transition from Tack to Pressed Eyes
1954 : Company is sold to Gladding

Boxes

South Bend boxes are very collectible, especially the early introduction boxes. There are far less boxes than lures, because most fisherman threw them away.
